CombLine is a patented hair enhancement technique that uses a comb-shaped tool and medical-grade glue for a hair-by-hair installation. This process creates an invisible bond between the natural hair and the extension. CombLine extensions provide seamless results where other methods would be noticeable, such as the hairline or crown of the head. 

With CombLine, individual hairs are glued directly to the natural hair, making it virtually invisible where the hair ends and the extensions begin. Since CombLine is a technique rather than an extension, the style and quality of the extensions you choose will ultimately impact the final look. 

CombLine allows for precise installations in areas with sparse or fine hair. Invisible bonds reduce the need for large sections of hair to conceal the extensions, while the hair-on-hair application eliminates attachment points that could pull on fragile hair.

All hair types can use CombLine—however, guests with very oily hair may encounter bonding challenges. Oils are the main reason bonds may not fully set or shed prematurely. Therefore, it is essential to clarify and thoroughly blow dry the hair to ensure proper bonding during the application. For curly textures, straightening the roots is necessary for optimal bonding. 

V-Light and CombLine both use a comb-like tool for invisible bonds. However, V-Light needs UV light to cure the bonds, adding time to the installation. Additionally, V-Light's adhesive is thicker, while CombLine's adhesive is thinner and more flexible, allowing for a better blend with natural hair.

Yes, you can apply a full head of extensions using CombLine; however, it is more common to target specific areas such as the hairline, part, and crown. 

You can use any BELLAMI Hair Extensions since you will cut off the attachment point before application. 

CombLine is compatible with all BELLAMI Hair Extensions. However, since the application uses small sections, we recommend methods with similar placement styles, such as Tape-In or K-Tip. This helps streamline the process and minimize hair waste.

Yes, you can combine CombLine with other extension application methods. 

The process takes about 1-2 hours.

No, similar to K-Tip, Combline doesn’t allow the reuse of hair.

Results from CombLine can last up to 8 weeks with proper application and care. The extensions will gradually shed, similar to natural hair, so it’s recommended that your guests come in for maintenance approximately every 4 weeks. After 6 months, it’s time for a fresh application.

Any hair that remains when it is time for a new application can be removed with a gentle solvent.   

If a bond becomes loose, have your guest come in for a quick fix or reapplication. Advise them against pulling or picking at the bonds, as this can weaken them. Also, advise them to avoid any oil-based products at the attachment.

The cost of the class is $2150. It includes a kit, mannequin, and tripod ($1400 value).

You must bring your CombLine Kit, mannequin, and tripod to class; no additional materials are needed. 

The minimum is 8 attendees, the maximum is 20. 

Upon receiving the kit, you must store the glue in the fridge until you leave for class. Any leftover glue should be immediately refrigerated for continued use. You are responsible for bringing your full CombLine Kit, tripod, and mannequin head to class. 

After class, CombLine requires stylists to submit 3 work examples for approval before obtaining the CombLine Certification. Once you are certified, you will be eligible to purchase CombLine accessories and tools.
